(Cleveland Heights, Ohio) Although only two decades separate them, the two
musicals scheduled for the 2006 Cain Park season feel generations apart in
style and world view.  Cain Park and Theater Co-artistic Directors Victoria
Bussert and Russ Borski announce productions of Cole Porter=B9s Kiss Me, Kate
in the Evans Amphitheater and Hair in the Alma Theater during the 2006
season.  Carol Dunne, who directed last year=B9s critically acclaimed Songs
for a New World, will direct Kiss Me, Kate.  Victoria Bussert, who is
celebrating her 20th year at Cain Park, will direct Hair.

2006 AUDITIONS
Auditions for both shows will occur over a three-day time period at Grace
Lutheran Church in Cleveland Heights:  Equity Principals on February 23, al=
l
others on February 24 and 25.  Callbacks are scheduled for Sunday, February

KISS ME, KATE=20

Kiss Me, Kate epitomizes Broadway musical comedy at its glorious best!  Col=

Porter=B9s Tony Award-winning battle of the sexes recounts the rambunctious
life of a touring acting company putting on a revival of Shakespeare=B9s The
Taming of the Shrew and the on-again/off-again romance of its leading
characters.  It sparkles with 18 classic Cole Porter songs including
=B3Another Op=B9nin=B9, Another Show,=B2 =B3Too Darn Hot, =B3So in Love,=B2 and =B3Brush Up
Your Shakespeare.=B2 Kiss Me, Kate holds the distinction of winning the same

Carol Dunne (Director/Kiss Me, Kate) is an actress, singer, director and
theater teacher.  She is on the faculty of Dartmouth College where she
teaches both acting and acting for musical theater.  While in Cleveland she
acted for 10 years at the Cleveland Play House, Great Lakes Theater
Festival, Cain Park (Into the Woods, Side Show), directed at Beck Center fo=
r
five years and served on the faculties of Baldwin-Wallace College and Case
Western Reserve University.  Dunne=B9s direction of last year=B9s Songs for a

Cain Park Theater Co-artistic Director Victoria Bussert celebrates her 20th
season at Cain Park by directing Hair in the intimate Alma Theater. This
November will find Vicky Off-Broadway where she=B9ll be directing the winner
of the 2005 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater, Dust and Dreams: A
Sandburg Celebration, followed by directing the New York benefit concert of
The Gig, a piece she developed at the National Music Theatre Conference in
1993.  Favorite Cain Park productions include Bat Boy: The Musical, Follies=

Violet, Avenue X, A Little Night Music and Side Show.  Vicky has worked at
theatres across the country including The Manhattan Theatre Club, Goodspeed
Opera, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Portland Stage, Dallas Theatre Cente=

and Anchorage Opera.  Locally, she has worked at The Cleveland Play House,
Cleveland Opera, Porthouse Theater, Carousel Dinner Theatre and Great Lakes
Theater Festival, where she serves as resident director.  Vicky is in her
10th year of heading the musical theatre program at Baldwin-Wallace College=

Cain Park, a municipally owned and operated summer arts park and one of the
nation=B9s oldest landmark outdoor theatres, is produced by the City of
