And now for something completely different... Come and see the show that
opened last weekend at the Stow Players' facility (the Heritage Barn in
Silver Springs Park, 5238 Young Road in Stow). Two more weekends available!
Friday and Saturday nights at 8 - plus one performance this coming Sunday
afternoon (11/13) at 2:30. Don't miss it!
"The Unexpected Return of Sherlock Holmes" - by Jack Herman.
SYNOPSIS: English author, Arthur Conan Doyle, has been summoned to the
country retirement home of the famous English actor, Desmond Westhaven.
Members of the family and the domestic staff have been seeing a strange
ghostly figure and the actor thinks that Holmes...or more correctly the man
who created Holmes, can ferret out the truth. The plot thickens when Mr.
Doyle discovers he not only has to learn the true nature of the ghost, but
he has to deal with a ghost of his own, as Sherlock Holmes himself arrives
to save the day. Doyle is the only one who can see Holmes and the problem
is that Doyle dislikes his creation (that's why he killed him off). But
Sherlock won't take no for an answer and insists on helping a reluctant
Doyle discover the truth of the mystery. With the combination of the
author's spooks and the detective's cold logic can the case finally be
solved?...The game is afoot!
It's fun, it's lighthearted, it's inexpensive ($10 for adults, $9 for
seniors and students).
Call the box office now to book your tickets: 330-655-6051.
