Seems the powers-to-be at the PD have told us how important theatre =
listings and audition notices are to our community.
Thanks to those who have brought this issue to light.
Here a just a couple of creative ideas to compliment Sarah's justifiable =
push for a letter writing campaign.
Shout with clout! Offer a solution.Have these editors thinking about the =
big picture
When writing your emails to letters at plaind.com
call attention to the revenue that "theatre goers" bring to our =
theatres, and the surrounding clubs and restaurants.
Better yet, visit just a couple of these neighboring =
establishments,especially if you're in a show,and ask them the =
assumptive question,"Would lack of a theatre audience affect your =
business"?.Get them thinking about the big picture.Get them to write a =
letter. Some of these bars and restaurant owners happen to have =
connections.
For theatre owners and marketers:Those who read the PD with regularity =
are the same educated patrons who buy seasons tickets.Write a short =
letter or send a postcard(check with legal first) to your mailing list =
asking for their letter writing support.
