Theatre Communications Group of Ohio (TCG) is a newly formed Arts Agency 
based in Columbus, Ohio.

TCG's mission:  to strengthen, nurture and promote Northeast Ohio 
not-for-profit Theatre Arts..

TCG believes that theatre arts plays a significant role on the culture of 
Northeast Ohio and as a strong public and cultural advocate of theatre, 
TCG's prime directive is to promote a meaningful role for theatre arts in 
the lives of Northeast Ohio individuals, families and communities.


Through strategic planning, data collection and audience surveys, TCG has 
developed the Member  Audience Foundation.  MAF's primary goal is to 
administer a range of audience development programs that will encourage 
attendance, assistance and education for theatre arts.

TCG's  Member Audience Foundation is also designed to allow it's audience 
members to pay tribute to individuals and organizations for outstanding 
achievements, contributions and service to Northeast Ohio Theatre Arts.

At this time TCG would like to recognize the outstanding achievements and 
efforts of the following organizations and individuals:

Best Musical - RAGTIME, produced by The Jewish Community Center of Cleveland 
in Association with
                   Cuyahoga Community College East Campus Theatre Arts.  
RAGTIME was the
                   blockbuster of the year!

Best Play - The Exonerated, produced by the Dobama Theatre Company.  Simple, 
eloquent and
                incredibly powerful.

Best Director - Fred Sternfeld, RAGTIME.  Mr. Sternfeld's best work!  
Stunning!

Best Actress - Elizabeth Ann Townsend - THE EXONERATED.  A gifted actress 
who's performance
                    demonstrated humanity, dignity, courage and strength.

Best Actor - Brian Zoldessy, TO KNOW HIM.  One of the best performances by 
an actor this city has
                 seen.  Rich, detailed, powerful and very moving.

Best Theatre Company - THE GREAT LAKES THEATRE FESTIVAL.  Under the 
direction of Charles
                                   Fee, GLTF has become a truly fine theatre 
company, providing entertaining
                                   and delightful productions.
