About the Artists

Jim Howson is a former editor for Industrial Publishing
Company, later known as Penton/IPC. He then formed his own advertising
agency which he headed for over 45 years. He credits much of his skill
as a photographer to his shared knowledge from working with many
photographers over the years. Jim focuses his camera primarily on
nature and scenic subjects but also photographs scenes with human
interest themes. Many of his award-winning photographs have been
featured in the annual directories of the International Library of
Photography. Many of Jim's works may be viewed online at
www.picture.com.

Jim's oldest daughter, Judy Calkin has captured
breath-taking photographic images during her travels to Austria, Spain,
and Switzerland; as well as scenic areas throughout the United States
such as Cape Cod and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Judy's interest
in photography began at a young age with the encouragement of her father
and uncles, all accomplished photographers. Like her father, she also
prefers photographing nature and scenic places. Judy currently works
for the Amin D. Hummel Planetarium on the campus of Eastern Kentucky
University.

Patt McClain has always been interested in art. She
received her degree in art from Ohio University and has studied at the
Cleveland Institute of Art. Patt has received many awards for her
watercolor paintings and shows and sells her artwork locally, including
at many juried exhibitions. She is a member of the Tri-County Artists
and the Western Reserve Artist Association. =20
