Lakewood, Ohio - The Beck Center for the Arts invites you to enjoy
Chamber Music, a free music recital with Beck Center faculty and friends
on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. in the Music-Armory Building.
Chamber Music will feature the talents of members of the accomplished
Beck Center music faculty; as well as special guest performers, the Isis
Trio.  This recital is free and open to the public.  The Beck Center for
the Arts is located just ten minutes west of downtown Cleveland at 17801
Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.

            Chamber Music performers include Kathleen Bosl (soprano),
Jocelyn Chang (harp), Jill Collier (cello), Chris Ellicott (guitar),
Bruce Erwin (violin), Natasha Inski (cello), Patty Knox (viola), and
Michael Leese (flute).  The Isis Trio features cellist Jie Jin, pianist
Shuai Wang and violinist Jing Zeng.

            The Beck Center for the Arts is a non-profit, comprehensive
performing arts organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life
through the arts for individuals, regardless of age or ability.  It is
one of the area's largest performing arts organizations and the only
institution of its kind on Cleveland's Westside.  Each year, the Beck
Center provides professional theater performances and high-quality arts
education programs for tens of thousands of patrons in Northeast Ohio.
Programming includes a professional theater; an arts education program
offering instruction in dance, music, theater, and visual arts; a
creative arts therapies program for individuals with special needs; and
art galleries.

The Beck Music Department offers private lessons in voice, piano and all
orchestral and band instruments.  The Music Conservatory offers an
opportunity for exceptional students to increase their level of
education and prepare them for acceptance to the finest colleges and
universities in the country.  It is a unique and intensive course of
study that offers college preparatory instruction, as well as
performance opportunities.  In addition, the Music Department offers
classes in voice, music theory, early childhood music, Suzuki violin,
and Dalcroze Eurhythmics.  The Beck Center Youth Choirs program includes
five separate choirs involving over 200 students from kindergarten

            Bosl, Kathleen soprano (voice, piano) B.M. Ed.,
Kulas/Margaret-Rusk-Griffiths-Award Scholarship. BW voice performance
(major), piano (minor). Studied/performed Milan, Italy. Cleveland Opera
Chorus/WCLV/Freelances. Cantor, soloist, music director, teachers
Churches, Messianic Jewish Synagogues, schools; Members NATS/Three Arts
Club of Lakewood.

            Chang, Jocelyn (harp) B.M. Cleveland Institute of Music,
M.M. Cleveland State University.  Principal harpist and founding member
of Cleveland Chamber Symphony.  Improvisations showcased in
collaborations with dance, theater, sculpture, poetry, and performance
art.  Leader exploration Dilling harp, with over 69 commission/premiered
words.  Directs Jocelyn Chang Harp Ensemble (12 harps).  More than 100
annual performances with Chang-Leese Harp-Flute Duo.

            Collier, Jill (cello) BM Cello Performance U of Michigan, MM
Cello Performance CIM. Extensive Suzuki Teacher training in Chicago, New
York, Cleveland, and Lima, Peru. Currently a member of the Graduate
String Quartet at Cleveland State U.

            Ellicott, Christopher (guitar) A.A. Humanities/ Music
(guitar), County College, Morris, NJ; B.A. Music (guitar), Baldwin
Wallace College. Performs in Cleveland as soloist and with wife, Karen
(clarinet), under duo name "Sunday in the Park." Member Guitar
Foundation of America. Board member Greater Cleveland Classical Guitar
Society.

            Erwin, Bruce (violin, Suzuki violin, fiddle) B.M. University
of Iowa; M.M. Baylor University. Performed with la Or Questa Sinfonica
de Xalapa, Mexico and Canton Symphony. Teacher at Capital Suzuki
Institute, TCU Suzuki Institute, Texas and el XII Campamento Musical
Juvenil (Panama). Winner-1997 and 1998 Ohio Scottish Fiddling
Championships.

            Knox, Patricia (nee Noonan) (viola, violin) M.M. Music
performance Peabody Conservatory, Johns Hopkins University; B.M. Music
Performance and Music Education certification, University of Akron.
Taught music in Cleveland municipal schools, strings artist in residence
at Cleveland School of the Arts.   Previous principal violist of
Cleveland Chamber Symphony. Currently string specialist at Lakewood High
School and member of Ashland Symphony.

            Leese, Michael (flute, composition, theory) B.M. Composition
and Theory, Jacksonville University; M.M. Boston University. Member of
Cleveland Composer's Guild. A MacDowell Colony fellow, music performed
worldwide. As flutist, gives lectures, workshops and concerts on
improvisation internationally.
