For Immediate Release 1/15/06
Attention: Community Interest, Art & Entertainment, Special Feature =
Departments

From: TrueNorth Cultural Arts Center

Subject: Choreographer, Dance Instructor to launch dance program at =
TrueNorth

Instructor: Jacqueline J. Ladikos

Classes Begin: February 13 - April 8 (8 week session)

Choreographer/ Dance Instructor joins TrueNorth Cultural Arts

Jacqui Ladikos has worked in the field of Dance and Gymnastic =
instruction for over 20 years, and will be bringing her talents to Avon =
Lake starting February 13th with 8-week sessions of dance classes for =
children and adults at the TrueNorth Cultural Arts Studio Annex (33483 =
Lake Road). Working as a private consultant and choreographer, Jacqui =
has prepared many individuals as well as Dance Teams for state and =
national competitions. She has held head coaching positions at private =
gymnastic clubs and has worked as a technical dance advisor to women's =
floor exercise and ladies singles skating programs. A strong background =
in personal fitness training has allowed Jacqui to take the sport of =
dance to the next level of athleticism.=20

Jacqui states, "I have always felt that curriculum should be age =
appropriate. If you really want a four, five or even six year old to =
fall in love with the world of dance, then capture their imagination and =
bring them into a magical world where freedom of movement can be =
explored and the foundation of good technique can be implemented. I am =
very excited with the success of what I call my Princess Curriculum. =
Young dancers (4-6 yrs.) learn technique and terminology with the use of =
tiaras, fairy wands, magical journeys and other innovative play, proving =
that make believe and fun can lead to form and grace."=20

Other classes to be launched at TrueNorth include ballet classes for =
ages ranging from 3-6 years, hip hop dance classes, and even an adult =
beginner hip hop class that is guaranteed to be great exercise and lots =
of fun. "Dance Club" offered on Saturdays includes girls ages 8 and up =
who will learn basic technique that can be utilized in all forms of =
dance. They will explore jazz, ballet, modern and even the high energy =
of hip hop.

"My family and I moved to Avon Lake 12 years ago and immediately fell in =
love with the people and the area. I can hardly believe that after all =
the places that I have traveled and worked, I will now be teaching in =
Avon Lake, a wonderful community with a vision for the arts."=20

Class Fees range from $75 to $90. There is also an annual Registration =
Fee due to TrueNorth of $15 per person, maximum $40 per family, valid =
September 1 through August 31. For a complete schedule of classes and =
fees, contact TrueNorth Cultural Arts at 440-933-7771, or check out =
their website at www.TNCArts.org, or stop by the Center at 33491 Lake =
Road Monday through Saturday from noon to 6:00 p.m.
