Presents Image/Sound/Image – Where Film, Technology, and Music Collide
Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. at the Masonic Auditorium, 3615 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland.

Cleveland, Ohio---Red {an orchestra} concludes its fourth season with Image/Sound/Image, a unique concert where the visual and musical arts will collide. Image/Sound/Image explores the reflexive relationship between music and visual imagery as Red continues to pursue its goals of redefining orchestral programming, redesigning the concert experience, and rediscovering classical music.
For film lovers, Red {an orchestra} will perform Academy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Corigliano's film score, A Red Violin, and a world premiere film score, Filmusic #2, by Jonathan Sheffer.
For technology lovers, Red commissioned a work from digital artist, Leo Villareal, who is also featured in MOCA’s All Digital exhibit. The second half of the concert continues with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4., performed with an interactive computer-generated video. Villareal developed an interactive computer generated system that dynamically responds to input generated by the orchestra and expands across the entire symphony.
