Dear neoPALS,

I do understand that when you are trying to get your notice... well, NOTICED, making it as visually exciting as possible is very important to you. I would like to ask a small favor for future postings. Please be aware that many (Okay, several... maybe even just a few) of us have opted to receive this list as a journal in mime format - generally for time management reasons or due to mailbox size restrictions. When a notice is posted with visual enhancements - specifically a background color, that setting frequently remains the default setting for the rest of that list. This is not always a problem - but on the list that came out today, message #15 from 'marketing at cim.edu' was posted on a black background. Very dramatic, I'm sure... BUT that put the rest of the list on black background as well - and... here's the catch... BLACK text on a BLACK
background is INVISIBLE, so the latter half of the list was lost. The only parts that could be read were the web site and e-mail addresses - which are printed in blue.

Sure there are ways to eventually get the information extracted, but I (and I assume others) try to scroll through this list, daily, as quickly as possible to pull the information that will be of benefit to me and get on with my day. So here is my request. When posting a notice, PLEASE be aware that your presentation can change the way the notices that come after your's will appear and keep your notice on white or light colored backgrounds? For those of us that get the list in 'mime' - it could save us a lot of time and/or might even keep us from missing that one in a million audition notice that could make or break our career. (Now who's being dramatic?)

Thanks for your consideration,
