Opens February 15, 2006
The Shaker Heights High School Theatre Arts Department proudly presents 'NEW STAGES 24: Shaker Theatre New Playwrights and Director Series.' Student written, directed, performed and produced, New Stages 24 features six one-act plays. NEW STAGES 24 opens on Wednesday, February 15 and runs through Saturday, February 18, 2006 for six performances.
Age Ain't Nothin' But A Number written by Sherria Hughley and directed by Anna Weinstein
Black Rain written by Alex Mok and directed by Matt Herzfeld
Life (in Purple) written by Anastasia Frank and directed by Marnie Zoldessy
Like Silly Puddy written by Athena Pallotta and directed by Katie Campbell-Morrison
M'aidez written by Emily Mizer and directed by Celia Kaplan
Tent-tation written by Allie Jennings and directed by Ben Karlin
New Stages alumni have gone onto work professionally as wirters, performers, and producers and include David Wain (Writer and Director of Wet Hot American Summer; Writer & Performer on Comedy Central's Stella) and Carter Bays ( Head writer for the Fox tv series, American Dad).
Performances are at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 16th. Performances on Friday, February 17 and Saturday, February 18 are at 7:00 pm AND 9:15 pm. All performances are in Shaker Heights High School Stage 3. Seating is limited and all seats are reserved. Note: Mature Content. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and senior adults, and may be purchased in advance by calling the 24 Hour Reservation Hotline at 216-295-4287.
