Tales of My Folk

Tales of My Folk is an original Karamu House production about a =
traveling storyteller who visits a village where storytellers are not =
welcome. Now he must win them over with his many tales and charming =
personality. This play emphasizes the need for tolerance and =
understanding in an ever-changing world. (Suitable for grades K - 6)

On Freedom's Journey: From Freedom to Slavery and Back Again

On Freedom's Journey: From Freedom to Slavery and Back Again is a =
dramatic presentation of historical speeches, slave narratives, music =
and dance about the road to freedom for African Americans in the United =
States. These narratives, speeches and songs capture the essence of the =
conflicts, contributions, and triumphs of African Americans from their =
departure from Africa, through slavery, to the Emancipation. (Suitable =
for grades 6 - 12)

We also offer workshops in drama, creative writing, creative movement =
and African dance.
