Everyone is invited to the 2006/2007 Season Announcement at the General
Meeting on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at 6pm.  The meeting will be held at the

Barlow Community Center, 41 S. Oviatt St.

The 2006-2007 Season will be announced in a very exciting new way and prizes
will be awarded!  All theater lovers are encouraged to attend.

Also to bring extra special significance to your presence, the general
meeting will be attended by a representative of the American Association of
Community Theater (AACT), the national organization that promotes community
theater throughout the United States. They will bestow a special honor
during their visit and will focus the national spotlight of AACT on the
Hudson Players because of such (the award will be recognized in their next
national newsletter).

This is not to be missed. Not only to support and provide a good showing for
the AACT representative (Eleanor Smith), who will travel further then any of
us to attend our meeting, but to help recognize the significance of the
honor they bestow.

Exact details are being kept sketchy on purpose, but obviously the award
will be announced at the meeting (providing still yet another reason to
attend).

It truly is a special honor they bring and we hope all are on hand for the
presentation.

Following the general meeting, auditions for the Hudson Players next
production, “Deathtrap,” will take place March 5 at 7:00 p.m.  Come prepared
to read from the script.  Director, Kate Tonti, is looking for 3 men (ages
25-55) and 2 women (ages 30-55).  A second evening of auditions will be held
March 6, 7:00 p.m., also at Hudson’s Barlow Community Center.

The Hudson Players are currently showing “Barnum,” a musical based on the
life of the great American showman, P.T. Barnum.  The reviews have been very
favorable and performances are beginning to sell out.  If you wish to see
this circus on stage, reserve tickets today by calling 330-655-8522 or by
stopping into The Learned Owl Book Shop.  Performances with available
seating are February 24th and 25th.  The theater opens its doors at 7:30
p.m. and the curtain goes up at 8:00 p.m.

Directions:

The Hudson Players are located right in the heart of Hudson, Ohio in the
Barlow Community Center.

>From the North, simply exit 480 at Rt. 91 in Twinsburg and head south. Take
a left on Rt. 303 (just past the clocktower) and a right on Oviatt St. The
Barlow Community Center will be on the left hand side just a block down the
road.

>From the South, exit Rt. 8 at the 303 exit and head east (right). After you
head through the center of town, make a right onto Oviatt St. The Barlow
Community Center will be on the left hand side just a block down the road.
