  Characters
  Maggie: 20's to 30's -- Sensual, attractive, desperate to regain her relationship with her husband Brick and be accepted into his family.
Brick -- 20's to 30's - Son of Big Daddy, former football hero; an alcoholic battling his own personal demons.
Big Daddy - 65 - Owner of the richest plantation in the Mississippi delta. 
Self-made man now facing his own mortality. Strong, almost biblical presence. 
Big Mama - 50's to 60's Big Daddy's wife. Has put up with Big Daddy in a show of devotion for years. However, there is a core of steel buried deep withing this woman.
Gooper (Also called Brother Man) - 30's to 40's - Brick's older brother. An attorney and always Bog Daddy's dutiful son. Jealous of Big Daddy's favoritism of Brick.
Mae (Also called Sister Woman) - 30's - Outwardly charming, inwardly calculating. As is Gooper, she is jealous of Brick and Maggie's standing with Big Daddy. 
Dr. Baugh: 40s+. Kindly Southern family doctor.
Rev. Tooker: 40s+. Southern preacher.
Lacey: 40s. African American handyman.
Sooky: 30s. African American maid.
Four to five children ages 5 to 12. Gooper and Mae's "no-neck monsters".
