Queen Bee Productions debuts "For Beauty's Sake" for Women's History =
Month and National Eating Disorder Awareness Week.

February 20, 2006  Akron, OH:  Queen Bee Productions will debut For =
Beauty's Sake as part of Women's History Month and National Eating =
Disorder Awareness Week.  Originally commissioned for the Massachusetts =
Eating Disorder Association's  10th Annual Conference last spring, =
Beauty combines collected stories and writings, personal experience and =
research on the current trends in body image, dieting and a fat phobic =
society to explore the culturally imposed love-hate relationship we have =
with our bodies.

Deb Lemire, Artistic Director of Queen Bee Productions will perform For =
Beauty's Sake on Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m. in the Simmons Hall =
Auditorium at the University of Akron.  The presentation is free and =
open to the public.

"The current hysteria on obesity has done tremendous damage,"  Lemire =
states.  "Women and girls are going to even greater extremes to be thin. =
 They fear they will be labeled fat and subjected to the blatant cruelty =
and discrimination that larger people experience on a daily basis.  =
Sizism has become the one remaining acceptable prejudice."

Lemire hopes Beauty will bring a new understanding of our disordered =
eating culture.  A discussion will be held following the performance.  =

Queen Bee Productions, established in 1998 and based in Cuyahoga Falls, =
