The City Of Akron is once again in search of artistic talent to staff our
successful Lock 3 Summer Arts Experience.

The Lock 3 Summer Arts Experience partners professional area artists with
artistically inclined students aged 14-17 in the creation of art. The
artist leads the group in a collaborative effort, acting as instructor in
technique, mentor in behavior and source of motivation and inspiration.
Programming is component-based (i.e. ceramics, textiles, mural painting,
music, etc) with each Artist providing structure and instruction of the
project from start to finish. Each Artist is responsible for the
education/mentoring of 8-10 students.

The components for our 2006 season will be selected based upon
creativity/diversity of subject, scope of project, final product and budget.
The details and the how/where /when the component will create a successful
product are up to the individual artist to specify in his/her proposal.

Electronic proposal submissions must be received by March 15, 2006. Paper
submissions must be postmarked by March 15, 2006.
