WHAT:  The Battle of Standing Rock
-a battle of bands featuring every genre of music
-sponsored by CDCentric.com
-prizes include 1000 CD Package, 10 hours of recording time at Moondog
Studios, and a CD release party at Club Khameleon

-Preliminary Rounds on May 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 9th, 10th, & 12th
-Semifinal Rounds on May 23rd & 24th
-Final Round on May 26th

WHERE:  Fat Jimmy=B9s, Club Khameleon, The ECC, & The Kent Stage in Kent
-All clubs except The Kent Stage are on N. Water St.
-Kent Stage is at 175 E. Main

-Fat Jimmy=B9s on May 2nd, 9th, & 23rd
-Club Khameleon on May 3rd, 10th, & 24th
-The ECC on May 5th & 12th
-The Kent Stage for the final battle on May 26th.

   Standing Rock Cultural Arts is proud to announce our first annual Battle
of Standing Rock, a classic battle of the bands.  This competition is open
to any group of 2 or more musicians, aged 14 and up, and all genres of
music.   There will be room for a maximum of 42 artists/bands to compete.
Judges will be from local music venues, various bands, and others connected
to the local music scene.  Judging criteria will include 1.  Originality, 2=
.
Onstage Presence, 3.  Quality, 4.  Time Use and   5. Crowd Reaction.

     The Women=B9s Resource Center is partnering with SRCA on this
competition.  They are located on KSU=B9s campus and provide services to wome=
n
on and off campus.
   CDCentric.com is sponsoring this event as a way to provide a professiona=
