Disappointed at the dominance of male artists in the typical gallery?
Wondering why there aren't more women in the arts? Surprise! Women
are a force in the arts, and most of the under-representation in galleries
is due more to gallery culture than to artist ability. This show is a small
step toward redressing the balance. These are artists who happen to be
women. They're serious about their work. The show is eclectic, from
small to large works, from urbanely sophisticated to down and dirty.
Come see the work of these local artists:
Linda Ammons, Jean Balbin, Kristin Boyesen, Pam Daum. Pat Fallon,
Clarise Fernandes. Toni Fiderio, Robin Haller, Jill Hungerford, Lorraine
Johnson-Davis, Ryan Katz, Alice Kiderman, Quilla Leaks, Patt McClain,
Adele Marihatt, Caressa Matthews, Emily Moores, Liz Russell, Felicia
Sanches, Paula Singleton, Becky Smith, Claire Sullivan, Kate Tarase,
Demitra Thomloudis, Gretchen Troibner, Gina Washington
Founded in 2005, Gallery 324 mainly showcases the work of Ohio
artists. Located in the Galleria at Erieview on the first floor near the Food
Court, Gallery 324 is operated by Marcus Bales, a Cleveland glass artist,
in conjunction with Gary Roberts, a Cleveland furniture designer.
FREE PARKING on Saturday for the Opening. Park in the Galleria
Parking Lot, a heated and secure garage. Entrance on Lakeside
between East 9th and East 12th.
