AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT for Rodgers & Hammerstein's

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

Weathervane Playhouse will hold AUDITIONS by APPOINTMENT for the Rodgers =
& Hammerstien musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Auditions will be held at =
Weathervane Playhouse (1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron, In the Valley off =
Merriman Road) on Sunday, April 9 and Monday, April 10 with callbacks on =
Tuesday, April 11 on the following schedule:

Sun., April 9 12 - 2:30 p.m. - Adults
5 - 8 p.m. - Children

Mon., April 10 4:30 - 7 p.m. - Children
7 - 10 p.m. - Adults

Tues., April 11 4:30 - 7 p.m. - Children
7 - 9 p.m. - Adults

Audition reservations will be accepted at 330-836-2626.

Cast requirements: 7 children (5 - 18)

6 women Nuns (30+)

4 women (18 - 60)

7 men (16 - 60)

Nazis & Party Guests (various ages)

Prepare: Prepare: One song (bring sheet music in the correct key)

Director for the production of The Sound of Music is Kevin Jospeh Kelly =
who was seen recently in the Cleveland Play House Children's Theatre =
adaptation of The Wind in the Willows & and the revue Walkin' My Baby =
Back Home. He has directed for The Beck Center, Rocky River Community =
Theatre, Clague Playhouse, Cassidy Theatre and Chagrin Valley Little =
Theatre. Weathervane audiences have seen him in Nunsense A-Men as Mother =
Mary Regina.

Musical Director is Heidi Herczeg, who was Musical Director for Ain't =
Misbehavin' at Weathervane.

The Sound of Music runs June 14 - July 16, 2006.

All roles are available. Weathervane Playhouse is committed to =
non-traditional casting. Except in cases where race, gender, age or =
disability is essential to the play, all roles will be cast on the basis =
of talent. Weathervane Playhouse is a community theater. All performers =
in all productions are volunteers. For further information, call =
