  Local Playwright Accepted to Great Plains Theatre Conference

  Local playwright Amy Lynne Holland was just accepted into the Short Play Lab at the Great Plains Theatre Conference for her one-act play “Jack” which explores the life and deaths of the victims of the Whitechapel Murderer. 
  Amy is a 1994 graduate of Berea High School and earned her BFA in Fine Arts/ Theatre from Lake Erie College in 1998. She has been active in the community theatre scene since 1994 as an actor, director, and choreographer. She even directed her own adaptation on William Shakespeare’s “Two Noble Kinsmen” at Tri- C West for the Tri- C Drama Club in 2000.
  The Great Plains Theatre Conference runs May 28- June 3, 2006 in Omaha, Nebraska and features the notable Edward Albee as a principal panelist as well as Pulitzer Prize finalist Arthur Kopit.
  The conference will include Play Labs which feature staged readings of the chosen playwrights works and workshops on various topics with theatre notables over an eight- day period on the campus of Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska.
  Currently, Amy is seeking sponsors or donations to help defray the cost of travel and lodging for the conference.
