The Beck Center for the Arts is proud to present a Contemporary Ballet
Workshop for Teens and Adult with Instructor David Shimotakahara
beginning July 17th through the 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Tuition is $190.

The workshop will take place in the Creative Arts Building on the Beck
Center campus.  Dancers will need to bring a water bottle, bag lunch,
towel, and mat. =20

Prerequisite: Intermediate Ballet. Attire: Black leotard, tights, ballet
slippers, and pointe shoes.  Lecture-Demonstration will take place on
Saturday, 7/22 from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m.

This dance camp is designed for the serious dancer, or dance teacher who
wishes to awaken, revive, enhance, and expand technique, repertoire, and
ensemble skills. A concise and classically based warm-up supports work
at center that focuses on clearly defined technique in the services of
movement exploration and dynamics.  An introduction to movement
sensibilities employed at GroundWorks Dancetheater conducted by Artistic
Director David Shimotakahara.
