ARTS

Here=92s a special event for all you Nerds! Come dressed as the =

=93Meet the Cast=94 reception following the show and be eligible for =
prizes to the =93Top 3=94 Nerds!

=93The Nerd,=94 by Larry Shue, is directed by SCA director-in-resid=
ence Jacqi Loewy. Joe Ferencie is the set designer.

The story revolves around an aspiring young architect and ex-GI, =
Willum Cubbert, who has no idea his life is about to change on the night =
of his thirty-fourth birthday. Rick Steadman, a fellow ex-GI who saved =
Willum=92s life in Vietnam, shows up on his doorstep to stay. But =

it becomes apparent that Rick is a bumbling oaf with no social sense, =
little intelligence and no tact =96 overall a hopeless =91nerd.=92 As =
Rick stays on and on, his continued presence among Willum and his friends =
leads to one uproarious incident after another. Rick drives the normally =

Berry (Waldgrave), Amy Lee Shaffer (Celia), Mark Buchanan (Axel), Matthew =
Solarz (Rick Steadman) and Ethan Newburger (Thor). You will remember Ron, =
