Second Shift Screenwriters, a student-professional organization at Cleveland=
 State University, is scheduled to hold ScriptFest 2006 on April 28th at 7:0=
0pm in CSU=E2=80=99s Music & Communication building (MU107), located at Eucl=
id Avenue and E 21st Street.  The original screenplay readings provide the c=
ommunity of Cleveland with a fresh and first sampling of film-ready stories=20=
born and brewed right here in Cleveland.  It is a welcome departure from the=
 Hollywood-centric viewpoint that dominates the Silver Screen, and represent=
s the potential for Cleveland as a cinematic contender.

The newly approved program of Film/Digital Media at Cleveland State has orga=
nized a troupe of students, alumni, and non-students who believe, that befor=
e the more visible elements of cinema, namely production and promotion, can=20=
be engaged, there must first be unique and compelling stories.  That troupe,=
 Second Shift Screenwriters, was formed to serve local screenwriters, provid=
ing a vehicle for the development of their writings through critical feedbac=
k and readings, thus creating an open channel for future screenwriters of th=
e Cleveland community and beyond.

Come prepared to be entertained and to have a chance to vote on the stories=20=
presented.  Be witness to the birth of a new wave of Cleveland cinema, court=
