Just a reminder that this Sunday, the renowned Cleveland Orchestra=20
performs at Finney Chapel at 3 p.m.
Donald Runnicles is the guest conductor; the program features concert=20
master William Preucil in a work
written for him. Here is the complete program:

The Oberlin College Community Winds, conducted by John Knight,
presents a free concert on Thursday, May 4, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel.=20=

Fans of the Cleveland
Orchestra will be able to hear the ensemble's former principal=20
trombone, James DeSano,
as the guest soloist in James Curnan's Concerto for Euphonium.

James DeSano is Professor of Trombone at the Oberlin Conservatory of=20
Music;
John Knight is Professor of Music Education.

Percy Grainger Irish Tune from County Derry
William Schuman Chester Overture
  Gustav Holst First Suite in E-flat  (the new Fennell edition)

Some of the works will be guest conducted by graduating seniors from=20
the Conservatory.

The 60-member ensemble was founded by John Knight in 1992, and includes
students from the Conservatory and the College, as well as members of=20
the Oberlin
community and surrounding areas.
