Hi there NeoPalers!

I am seeking a prop for Beck Center's production of A Man of No =
Importance.

I need a largish tire rim and tire like from a truck. The rim can be =
bent and tire can be damaged. The scene calls for an actor to be =
struggling to get the tire on the rim.

If you have these items hanging about your garage, or know someone who =
does, please reply to this posting or give me a call at 440-452-4831.

Thanks for your support!

Sharon Epstein

The Beck Center for the Arts
presents the Cleveland musical premiere of
A Man of No Importance
June 2-25, 2006

The Beck Center for the Arts presents the Cleveland premiere of A Man of =
No Importance -- a warm-hearted musical by Ragtime creators Terrence =
McNally (book), Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics), and =
directed by Beck's Artistic Director Scott Spence. A Man of No =
Importance opens June 2 and runs through June 25 in the intimate Studio =
Theatre.=20

Based on the movie of the same name starring Albert Finney, this =
charming musical tells the story of Alfie Byrne, a bus conductor in =
1960's Dublin. Like his hero, Oscar Wilde, working-class Alfie enjoys =
reading literature and staging amateur theatrical productions in his =
local church. He sees his bus passengers as potential cast members for =
his own production of Wilde's Salome. Alfie even gives the young driver =
of his bus the nickname "Bosie," the same nickname Wilde called his =
lover, Lord Alfred Douglas. With so much in common with Wilde, it is no =
wonder that his sister's attempts to find him the "right girl" have =
failed. Audiences will be touched by Alfie's struggle in this deeply =
moving story about a man's journey of self-discovery. Inspired by Irish =
folk tunes, A Man of No Importance offers a delightful score with a =
pinch of pop and show-biz dazzle. This chamber musical is charming, =
profound and poignant.

"Beck Center is proud to be producing the regional premiere of this =
amazing new musical," says Spence. "The story of Alfie Byrne resonates =
on so many levels and will take audiences on a fantastic journey =
touching every emotion and funny bone along the way. Composer/lyricist =
team, Flaherty and Ahrens (Ragtime, Once On This Island), score again =
with this eclectic mix of Irish tunes and Broadway sound."

Alfie is played by Equity actor, Matthew Wright who has performed =
previously at the Beck Center in Urinetown The Musical, The Imaginary =
Invalid and The Fix. The cast also features George Roth, Leslie Feagan, =
Lenne Snively, Rob Mayes, and Patty Lohr.

A Man of No Importance is sponsored by Cox Communications, The Cleveland =
Foundation, Ohio Arts Council, Cleveland Theater Collective, WCPN 90.3 =
ideastream, and Lakewoodbuzz.com.

Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 =
p.m. Tickets are $28 for adults, $25 for seniors (65 and older), and $17 =
for students (22 and under with ID), which includes a $2 administrative =
fee applied at the time of purchase. For tickets, call the Beck Center =
box office at (216) 521-2540 or request seats here . Rush tickets for =
students (22 and under with I.D.) are offered for $10 each on Sundays =
only, 30 minutes prior to curtain, based on availability. Group =
discounts are available for parties of 12 or more. The Beck Center for =
the Arts is located just 10 minutes west of downtown Cleveland at 17801 =
Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.
