ARTS COLLINWOOD ART & DRAMA CAMP – STILL TIME TO REGISTER

Arts Collinwood art & drama camp is filling – but not full. Parents can still register for six weeks of drama coaching, hands-on art and field trips to visit art and people who make art.

Camp meets three mornings a week (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) from 9 to 12. It will be held at 15812 Waterloo Road, across from the Arts Collinwood gallery.

Molly Richards, this year’s drama teacher, is an actress and teacher currently working in NYC. She has a MFA in Theatre and is certified to teach k-12 drama. Molly will be part of the Mercury Summer Stock Rep. this summer.

Kimberly Cox, who will teach the art classes, recently received her MFA in Scenic Design from Kent State University. An accomplished designer and artist, she is also certified to teach K-6 art.

The camp has places open, for children five to 12; for information call 216-692-9500 or email Nan Kennedy at info at artscollinwood.org.

The fee is $240 for the full six weeks; siblings attend for half-price. There are also openings for junior counselors aged 13 to 16, who get the camp experience (and a resume item) free in return for helping teachers.

This year’s campers will take part in both the Waterloo Arts festival (on Saturday, June 24) and the annual Sand Sculpture Contest at Villa Angela Beach (Saturday, July 8).
