"Come & Create Cleveland", a Cleveland community art event, will be 
happening at Gallery 324 at the Galleria at Erieview, Wednesday, June 
14, from 8 am to 7 pm.  

Gallery 324 is hosting Joann DePolo, author of the new book "Making 
It As An Artist", and a prominent Cleveland artist. Ms DePolo will 
sketch the outlines for two 8-foot by 4-foot paintings of Cleveland, 
Cleveland by Night and Cleveland by Day, and every Clevelander is 
invited to come paint a part of a community mural. 

There is no fee to participate. Materials are being donated by 
Galleria and Cleveland merchants and organizations.  Aprons to 
protect clothing for those participating in the painting will be 
provided free.

The event at the Galleria is sponsored in part by Frank Jackson, the 
Mayor of Cleveland, and by Gallery 324, the Framer=B4s Gallery, and 
Artist Review Today, art galleries in the Galleria, to raise 
awareness of the Cleveland art community among Clevelanders. 

The finished paintings will be donated to the City of Cleveland in a 
ceremony with Mayor Jackson at Gallery 324 in the Galleria on July 7, 
2006, and Mayor Jackson has arranged to have the paintings displayed 
in the Rotunda at City Hall.

Kenny Crumpton from Fox 8 News will be broadcasting from 6 - 8 am 
from the site, and Mayor Frank Jackson will be there to paint among 
the first, brush strokes.

Everyone from all over Cleveland are invited to assemble in the 
Galleria outside Gallery 324 and then, under the direction of 
professional artist JoAnn DePolo, author of Making It As An Artist, 
and help paint a truly community inspired rendition of the Cleveland 
Skyline. Everyone who arrives will be invited to make their mark on a 
unique and one of a kind community collaboration. Brushes, smocks, 
and paint will be provided - there is no charge for participation.
