This workshop is open to all. Work in a fun and playful class, and connect
with your real talents for spontaneous play and real connection between you
and your fellow players. It's great for beginners and accomplished actor
alike. These skills will help you access and refine your natural talents for
the stage and beyond. 

About the instructor:

Marc Moritz - Marc originated the role of Talk Show Host in the Broadway
production of the Stephen Sondheim / Hal Prince musical , MERRILY WE ROLL
ALONG. He returns from Riverside Shakespeare in Iowa City where he appeared
as Argan in IMAGINARY INVALID and Gremio in TAMING OF THE SHREW. Marc has
just completed a season of repertory at Great Lakes Theatre Festival ,
appearing as Ed in YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU and Touchstone in AS YOU LIKE
IT. He most recently appeared in Eric Coble's 10 MINUTES FROM CLEVELAND at
Dobama, as Tateh in the JCC production of RAGTIME, and Cat In The Hat in
SEUSSICAL at Beck Center. Prior to that, Marc appeared as Allan in BABY and
Uncle John in GRAPES OF WRATH , at Cornell University where he spent the
past year as a Visiting Guest Artist both as an actor and teacher. Marc has
appeared Off-Broadway , regionally , and in stock theatres including Long
Wharf , Goodman Theatre , Cleveland Playhouse ,Carousel Dinner Theatre , and
New Harmony Theatre. Favorite musical roles include: Chairman - DROOD ,
Baker - INTO THE WOODS , Chico - COCOANUTS and Marvin -FALSETTOS. Other
roles include : Malvolio TWELFTH NIGHT , Dr. Pinch COMEDY OF ERRORS ,
Emporor Joseph - AMADEUS , Victor- PRIVATE LIVES , Tyler - LIGHT UP THE SKY
, and Harry in TIME OF YOUR LIFE . Marc was the Founder/Artistic Director of
Cleveland's popular GIANT PORTIONS IMPROV CO. and has taught and performed
with ImprovOlympic and Second City in Chicago and NYC. Marc is a Master
Teacher at Cleveland Improv Institute. Marc has appeared in numerous radio
and tv commercials. He will be appearing in THE BUDDY HOLLY MUSICAL  at
Carousel Dinner Theatre this upcoming summer.
