Workshop Players' "Jerry Finnegan's Sister" was chosen to represent the
NorthEast Ohio region at the State OCTA convention, which will be held over
the Labor  Day weekend in Worthington Ohio.   Workshop Players received four
awards in the regional competition held among seven theaters at Hudson
Ohioon July 8th.  Only one Outstanding in Acting award was given at
the regional
and it went to Brian McNally for his role as Brian Dowd in "Jerry Finnegan's
Sister."  Tricia Shumate won an Excellence in Acting for her role as Beth
Finnegan.  Director Wade Hubbard received an Excellence in Directing.  In
addition Debra Rose won an Excellence in Costuming.  (Tricia has about
thirty costume changes during the show,)

Workshop Players, located in Amherst, is almost unique in Ohio because it is
a full arena theater. Our 59th season begins with "You Can't Take it With
