LORI DIEMER DRIVES “CRUISIN’ ART”
INTO LAKEWOOD OHIO
bela dubby coffee, beer & art, located in Lakwood Ohio,
will be "revved up" with "Cruisin' Art", by Willoughby photographer Lori Diemer, during their "Car Kulture Show", August 1-31, 2006. This show is named after the Car Kulture Festival, to be held August 26, 12-8pm on Madison Avenue in Lakewood. Other artists, presenting car themed work are Hadley Conner, Jeremy "J-Bird" Lockard,
Scott Menke & Kevin Moore.
"Cruisin' Art" features a series of images Lori has captured at local car shows for the past 3 years. Car buffs will recognize the details and icons of their favorite classics. Lori will also be displaying recent creative montage images. Using a technique known as Polaroid Manipulation, Lori has created fun, colorful, and very unique "Portraits" of the cars she has met. This particular technique goes beyond typical photography with the final images often appearing like paintings. The contemporary look, and feel, of the images make them ideal for use in commercial and residential spaces. Framed and matted prints, as well as large canvas prints, will be featured.
Lori Diemer, of DW Photography, is a native of Northeast Ohio and lives in Willoughby. Her work has been awarded and exhibited at numerous venues around the area. She is an Artist Member of the RED Dot Project and Exhibit Cleveland, two organizations dedicated to the promotion of local artists to the downtown business community. She is also a member of the Western Reserve Photographic Society, The North American Nature Photography Association,
and the Photographic Society of America.
