  Accent On Youth (AOY) Coordinator

The Chagrin Valley Little Theatre (CVLT) seeks a Coordinator for its 
newly formed Accent on Youth (AOY) initiative.  We're looking for an 
independent contractor who will produce social issue plays and programs 
for all school grades, beginning with the Chagrin Valley schools.  This 
position is available immediately with plays, programs and recruiting 
being planned this September. These programs will include an important 
feedback and evaluation component. This Coordinator would represent CVLT 
in discussion with school personnel and funding sources, and must be 
acutely aware of overall Theatre image.

The Coordinator should have a personal understanding of acting, 
directing and staging performances, and will be recruiting and 
scheduling needed actors along with an overall director for each play.  
Basic bookkeeping and related business skills are needed for effective 
performance, and the Coordinator will also assist in writing grants.  
This person will need initiative, imagination, adaptability and 
persistence to accomplish multiple tasks in an effective and balanced 
manner, under the guidance of our AOY Advisory Panel.

Although this position embraces a considerable element of volunteerism, 
a reasonable stipend will be provided. While CVLT facilities are 
available for rehearsals, some productions and office usage, the AOY 
Coordinator will work largely from home or at the involved area schools.
