  Synopsis
This hysterical musical is a parody of The Princess and the Pea. Queen Aggravain rules her kingdom with an iron fist since King Sextimus is mute due to a curse. The Queen has an unusual attachment to her son Dauntless the Drab who is desperate to be married. The Queen has ordained that no marriages are allowed in her kingdom at all until Dauntless himself gets married. Twelve princesses have taken the Queen's royalty test to prove their worth and each has failed the test miserably (thanks to the Queen and Wizard who ensure that no princess pass the test-the Queen does not want her baby to be married.) Sir Harry then knocks up his Lady Larken, but they cannot be married and risk being banished from the kingdom. So Harry goes in search of a princess from the swamp lands to pass the test since all neighboring princesses have failed. Enter Princess Winnifred the Woebegone #13 who enters soaking wet from having swam the moat. And the fun begins as all characters try to
figure out the Queen's test for Winnifred who is such a zany misfit. This show is fun, enchanting , and full of laughs.Great music. Carol Bernett played Winnifred on Broadway and the show launched her career.
