Peter Knight is grinding out a murder story in an old mansion where =
another author was murdered years before. A weird electrical storm =
effects a cosmic snafu and his characters come to life. There's the =
lovely ingenue, the trusty butler, a feisty character woman, a dauntless =
hero, a fascinating "other woman," the always pregnant serving girl, and =
the wily lawyer waiting for midnight to read the will. Peter loses =
control of his characters and there is a murder; the intended victim is =
Peter. Other murders follow and the culprit is among characters who, =
having also worked for other authors, know a great deal about the =
subject. Can Peter find the killer before the killer gets his author? Is =
romance with the ingenue leading anywhere? Where is the fortune =
mentioned in the will? All is solved ingeniously with romance, suspense =
and cosmic wit.

Cast:

PETER KNIGHT- An author, probably in his mid-thirties, handsome, =
likeable.
MINNA - Hefty and strong, used to working on a farm, but fun to be with; =
has an intense manner about her. A New England accent would be an added =
plus.
LYDIA -Attractive, probably in her forties, dressed and groomed =
beautifully, sophisticated, brittle, and caustic but with a good sense =
of humor.
COGBURN - A proper butler, older than the others, in every sense the =
typical butler, proper, quiet, unemotional, mature, distinguished, knows =
his job to perfection and relishes it.
KAY KELSEY - The typical, pretty ingenue, sweet, trusting, lovely =
looking.
FIONA - The character lady who fits the part exactly, in her fifties or =
sixties and knows everyone else is wrong, is into knitting.
ADDIE - The maid, a very young girl, pert and vulnerable, almost =
constantly in a state of emotional distress who at first speaks with a =
Cockney accent.
DICK STANTON - The juvenile, in his early twenties, very hearty, eager, =
and overly-pleasant, virile, shakes hands with authority making him =
something of a bull in a china shop.
JORDAN DILLINGHAM - Lawyer in his sixties, married to Lydia, =
well-dressed and groomed, successful and looks it.
