Beginning Balboa for the rookie dancer7pm-8:15pm                

Learn this fun dance that started in Southern Cali in the 30s.  Great for
developing lead and follow skills because of the close position to your
partner.  This dance is perfect for crowded dance floors and for dancing to
bands with caffeine addictions.

Bal-Swing for Intermediate bal dancers 8:30pm - 9:45 

Bal-Swing can be a bit tricky, but not when you learn from these pros!
Improve your throw out and learn some other really super cool open position
variations.  This is the next logical step after you are feeling decent in
Balboa.  

Wednesdays in North Olmsted at the Cannon School of Irish Dance 10/4-11/1

Intro to Lindy!  Going from Jitterbug to Lindy 7pm-8:15pm     

How to easily bridge that Jitterbug to Lindy gap and come out successfully
swingin'!  

Intro to Swing!  For the absolute  beginner 8:30pm-9:45pm        

Intro to FUN!  This is a beginners Jitterbug class.  Increasingly dynamic
moves will be used to build frame and connection with our partners and that
will lead us into a comfortable first partnered dancing experience.

They will be teaching a BEGINNING JITTERBUG 6 week session from November 7th

$50 without partner and $80 with partner.  Registration and payment deadline

Frequently asked questions?        

Do I need a partner to take swing dance lessons?  Nope, you sure don't.  We
rotate partners throughout the class so that everyone learns how to dance in
a true lead and follow manner.  This will allow you to go any where and
dance with any one.  And that equals MORE FUN!!!

What should I wear to class?  Dress comfy and in layers.  Not because it
will be cold, but because you may heat up!  It is nice to be able to shed a
layer of clothing if it starts to feel too balmy.  Every studio we teach at
has plenty of heating AND COOLING!  Yea for A/C!         

What kind of shoes should I wear?  Once again, comfy is the answer.  Just
wear a shoe that has your toes and heels mostly covered and is not too
sticky and not too slippery.  Leather soled shoes work great.  I LOVE my
well worn Keds!

Cost for 5 week GHS classes is: 

$50 per person pre-pay                      $70 per person paying day of

specifically devoted to teaching the historic swing dances from the 1920s

We host two monthly dances with live bands and a one hour Jitterbug lesson
from 8-9pm.  Dancing is from 9-12

We have a performance team that is available to hire.  We have done all
kinds of events from the Crawford Auto Museum to the Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame.  

We also do one hour to two week dance residencies in schools.

you sure don’t.  We rotate partners throughout the class so =

everyone learns how to dance in a true lead and follow manner.  =
