Cleveland Public Theatre announces auditions for Speak Truth to Power by
Ariel Dorfman, based on the book by Kerry Kennedy Cuomo. Directed by Lisa
Siciliano.

Saturday Oct. 14th 2:00pm - 5:00pm in the Gordon Square Theatre at CPT

Performance dates and times: Oct. 26, 27, 28 at 7:30pm; Oct. 29th at 3:00pm

Actors are encouraged to prepare a brief dramatic monologue (optional but
strongly recommended) and bring a headshot and resume. Sides will also be
provided.  

Rehearsals will take place from October 21st - October 25th 

Speak Truth to Power chronicles the lives and struggles of 42 human rights
activists from around the world (including Desmond Tutu, Elie Wiesel and the
Dalai Lama) as they dramatically change their countries and communities to
better our world, facing the opposition of repressive powers and apathy. 

ABOUT HOT TOPICS:
Three weekends of political debate on stage just in time for the election.
Each weekend, CPT artists will present a fully staged reading of a new play
that focuses on an issue that impacts our lives, our country and where we
are going as a people.

Hot Topics features readings of incredible new works dealing with hot-button
issues including politics, international relations, war, labor and human
rights. Shows will be followed by town-hall style panels to provoke
discussion, exploration and thought.
