Arts Collinwood Gallery is delighted to bring together a group of talented Cleveland artists who all owe some credit for their current work to the creativity fostered in Collinwood’s Grovewood environs in the mid-Sixties. This exhibit is both a rare look at a talented pool of local artists and the range of what they now produce, from painting to pottery and poetry to boot, and also a look back at the neighborhood from which they sprang, evocative of a time and place that in spite of simple appearances-- not glamorous, or even overtly bohemian -- still nurtured tremendous artistic potential.
Starting out as a talented crew of young artists-to-be, living in the Grovewood area in the ‘60s, this group now comes together again both to give us an update on where their talent has taken them – from major collections to collaboration with Harvey Pekar and more – and to celebrate the tremendous talent that is nurtured in all the small pockets of Cleveland where art flourishes.

Please join us for a Wine and cheese reception on Friday, Nov. 3, 6-9 pm.
