Program Coordinator

Art House
Art House is a nonprofit art center located in the Old Brooklyn/Brooklyn 
Centre neighborhood. Art House offers a variety of arts and cultural 
classes to people of all ages. Our mission is to nurture involvement in 
the arts and culture, providing opportunities for people to create, 
learn and communicate ideas while encouraging self-expression, thereby 
strengthening the community.

Qualifications
Art House is seeking a highly collaborative, creative, flexible and self 
direction individual to fill the position of Program Coordinator. 
Qualifications required include 1) B.A. or Masters in visual arts, arts 
education, arts/nonprofit management, art history or related experience 
2) proven program development and implementation and /or curriculum 
development, exhibited by 3-5 years experience 3) skilled in data 
management and Microsoft Office 4) excellent verbal and written 
communication skills with experience in communications and marketing 5) 
own reliable transportation.

Position
* Full-time
* Salary commensurate with experience - plus health benefits, retirement 
available after two years employment

Roles and Responsibilities:
Programming
* Develop, coordinate, and implement visual arts classes and workshops 
for adults, teens, children, families and after school programs - 
trimester schedule, including arts education with schools
* Develop and implement programs for Art House Supporting Educators & 
Artists Network (AH SEAN) - a membership based professional development 
program for artists and arts educators
* Engage in community outreach and partnership opportunities
* Coordinate on-site and off-site facilities for classes and programs
* Assist in maintaining studio space, maintain supplies and inventory
* Assist in developing budgets for classes, workshops, events and programs
* Revise and maintain evaluation reports for classes and programs
* Manage Volunteers including recruiting, coordinating and tracking 
volunteers
* Assist with special events and fundraisers

Database Management
* Maintain database and email groups for identifying and contacting 
visiting artists and instructors, volunteers, educators, students, 
newsletter mailing list, and other constituents
* Maintain monthly, quarterly and year-end activities reports

Marketing and Communications
* Create and coordinate trimester schedule/newsletter, show 
announcements, special events and other mailings with ED and Membership
* Promote and market programs including press releases, web 
postings/email listings and email broadcasts
* Update web site as needed using Contribute
* Other duties as needed
