The Geauga Theater was built in 1939 and, as a movie theater, served for
60 years as a community focal point and a place for a night out. More
than a few area adults fondly report receiving their "first kiss" in the
darkness of the Geauga Theater. The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild is proud
to bring back those memories and help create new ones. Movies will be
shown on weekends when there is not a live theatrical production, about
36 weekends a year.=20
