Paramahamsa Hariharananda
(1907-2002)
A great saint, taught the ancient science of Kriya Yoga, a non-sectarian
meditative practice cultivating the body, mind, and soul.
Filled with purity and love, he came from a long, unbroken line
of masters, ultimately attaining the highest goal of a realized
yogi, nirvikalpa samadhi, a conscious, breathless and pulseless
state beyond physical limitations. A disciple of Swami
Shriyukteshwar and Paramahamsa Yogananda, Paramahamsa
Hariharananda spread Kriya Yoga to the East and West.

What is Kriya Yoga
In 1861, the immortal Mahavatar Babaji reintroduced Kriya
Yoga, the ancient method of living and meditation. Kriya
Yoga cultivates body, mind, and intellect using powerful
meditative and yogic disciplines. It helps us to cultivate and
observe the three divine qualities of light, vibration, and
sound by using ancient techniques of concentration, posture,
and breathing. This develops a one-pointed mind, which
enables us to penetrate the deepest levels of consciousness.

Meditation Workshop with Indirya Shekerjian
  Sunday
November 12th
5:00-6:30pm
Cost $15
For those who are new and curious ... to those who are seasoned and blissful

We will talk about different ways to
meditate, benefits to meditation and answer any questions regarding the practice. We will do a few gentle yoga poses to prepare the body and then depending on everyone's experience we will sit for a set amount of time. Afterward we can discuss our experience of the mediation and if time allows, practice again.

  & Don't Forget ...
Kirtan on Sundays
with Grant Marquit
6:30-7:45pm
Kirtan is yogic singing – a way of connecting your physical body with the divine through
sound vibration. As many yoga systems build a strong, flexible and healthy body, the
practice of kirtan strengthens the voice while giving the inside of the body a vibrational
massage. In kirtan practice a call-and-response format is used, with a leader chanting a
phrase (typically in Sanskrit) and the rest of the group repeating the phrase. Participants
may reach an ecstatic state, but at the very least they will have engaged in a very simple,
free and direct form of yoga.
