Local Songwriter Gets Cut on Nashville Album

~ Free December 17 Concert by Rosebud Records Artists "J3" ~

            What do Ed McMahon, Michigan, Nashville, and a Northeast =
Ohio songwriter have in common?  The female country group J3 =
(www.myspace.com/j3girls), comprised of sisters Janel Badder and Jill =
Secen and best friend Jenny Sullivan!=20

After J3 took top honors in the Inspirational Music category on Ed =
McMahon's "Next Big Star" competition, the Michigan-based trio produced =
their debut album, "Full Circle", which resulted in a recording contract =
with Nashville's Rosebud Records. =20

J3's first album ("Best of Friends") on that label is being followed by =
a new project just in time for the holidays.  "He's Christmas" contains =
original tunes by J3, classic Christmas carols, and an original song =
("Only Joseph") written by local singer/songwriter Diana Tyler =
(www.dianatyler.com) who signed a publishing contract with Nashville's =
Cavet-Vanderpool Publishing earlier this year.  =20

            J3 incorporates traditional elements of country and =
bluegrass and features tight vocal harmonies, enticing melodies and =
thought-provoking lyrics.  The trio writes and performs songs that tell =
stories, encourage others to join in, and empower listeners to feel the =
simple joys of life.  In addition to their vocal and songwriting =
talents, the members of J3 play drums, flute, piano, piccolo, and =
acoustic, electric and bass guitar. =20

J3 will perform a free concert on Sunday, December 17, at 6 p.m., at the =
North Eaton Christian Church (www.neccdisciples.com), 35895 Royalton Rd. =
 (The church is located in Lorain County, just east of the intersection =
of State Routes 82 and 83.)  Copies of the group's various cds will be =
available for purchase. =20

J3's December 17 performance is part of NECC's "Very Occasional Concert =
Series".  Those attending are asked to bring one or more donations of =
non-perishable food for the church's food basket ministry. =20
