Creative  Dramatics  (1st =E2=80=93 2nd grade)

Ten Sessions
Mondays, Starting January 15, 2007; 4:30 =E2=80=93  5:45pm=20

This  class will provide the basic tools for young actors to develop their=20
natural  acting abilities.  Students will learn about stage movement, emotio=
n, =20
learning lines and collaboration through games and improv, as well as the =20
creation and performance of their own play.  There will be a short  presenta=
tion=20
for family and friends on the final day of class.

Playwriting and Performing  (3rd =E2=80=93 6th grade)
Instructor: Dana Hart=20
Ten  Sessions
Tuesdays, Starting January 16, 2007;  4:30 =E2=80=93  5:45pm

In  this class, students will learn the basics of playwriting and acting,=20
including  character development, conflict, dramatic structure, stage moveme=
nt=20
and emotion  through games, improv and writing exercises. The students will=20
write a short  play which will be presented for family and friends on the fi=
nal=20
day of  class.

Students  in this workshop-style class will have the opportunity to explore=20=

variety of  acting styles and techniques through concentrated study of=20
various scenes and  monologues.  Focus will be placed on intentions, methods=

research,  preparation, movement and analysis.  Students will finish the cla=
ss with=20
a  showcase for parents and  friends.
