Lakewood, Ohio - The Beck Center for the Arts is proud to announce that
it's Chamber Choir, part of the Beck's Children's Choirs, will perform
in the Capitol Rotunda at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 12 as part of
the day long inaugural festivities.

Now in its seventeenth season, Beck Center's Children's Choirs were
founded in 1990, as the 35-voice Children's Choir at the Koch School of
Music in Rocky River. Koch became Riverside Academy of Music and in
August 2001, Riverside merged with the Beck Center in Lakewood. The
Choir Program now incorporates more than one hundred singers ages 5 and
up.

In addition to their regular concert schedule, the choirs
have participated in OMEA, OAKE, OCDA and AOSA conferences on the local
and state levels. They perform regularly at community events and choir
festivals throughout Ohio and in Canada and have performed with the
Cleveland Pops Orchestra and Apollo's Fire. They appear annually on
local television, and at Jacob's Field singing the national anthem for
the Cleveland Indians baseball games.

Today, Beck's Children's Choirs, directed by Kathleen Bassett, include
the following:=20

Strickland and Lt. Governor Lee Fisher," says Ed Gallagher, Director of
Education at the Beck Center. "I am proud that the young vocalists in
the Chamber Choir will be a part of the statehouse celebration
showcasing the talents of Ohioans."

The Beck Center for the Arts is a non-profit, comprehensive cultural and
performing arts organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life
for northeastern Ohioans. We view our unique role as one of creating an
