Players Guild's own Ashley Spencer needs your vote!!
Ashley Spencer, a long time Players Guild volunteer, is one of the top
six female contestants on the NBC show, Grease: You're the One that I
Want. 
The series is a talent competition for the new Broadway revival of
Grease. The goal is to find the new Danny and Sandy for the musical
which is set to open in New York this summer. Epsiodes are shown on
Sundays. 
During Spencer's audition, which was aired during the premiere episode,
she was officially accepted to Grease Academy. And this past Sunday was
named as one of the top six female performers who will go on to compete
for the ultimate prize, a broadway career.
Spencer has performed in many productions at the Players Guild including
Steel Magnolias, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Rocky Horror Picture Show,
A Christmas Carol, and Cinderella. Spencer also recently portrayed
Barbie in a national touring production of Barbie: Live in Fairytopia.
Starting this Sunday, the performers will get the chance to compete for
your vote. Much like the style of American Idol, you will watch the live
performances and have the chance to vote for your favorite at the end of
the show. 
Watch for Players Guild's own Ashley Spencer starting this Sunday at
7pm. Contestants have been assigned a color to help the audience
identify each Sandy. Watch out for green and get your dialing fingers
ready to go! Congratulations Ashley!
