New adaptation of The Jungle Book plays in
Cleveland Play House Children's Series

CLEVELAND (January 23, 2007) -- The Cleveland Play House introduces the
second production of the 2006-2007 Children's Series with The Jungle Book.
The Play House's Jungle Book is an original adaptation based on the beloved
stories by Rudyard Kipling. Eric Schmiedl, a member of the Cleveland Play
House Playwrights' Unit, adapted the stories and directs the play. Public
performances run Saturdays and Sundays from January 27 - February 18, 2007.
Performances are at 1:00 and 3:00 PM.

ABOUT THE JUNGLE BOOK
Based on the wonderful Kipling story, this play is brought to amazing and
theatrical life for children. A great tale of fun and adventure, every young
person will enjoy seeing Mowgli living in the jungle with his friends Baloo
and Bagheera. As wonderful as it is to live free with the animals, Mowgli
learns the importance of family when his animal friends need to protect him
from Shere Khan, the menacing tiger, and when they ultimately must sacrifice
their own love for the young boy in order to do what is best for him.
