This may not be what you're looking for, but...
=20
If your organization is part of a Microsoft Exchange (how ya get your =
email), and you all have Office (or there's a similar program for Mac =
whose name I forget), then MS Outlook will pretty much do what you're =
looking for. Plus, if you've got that stuff, then the cost is 0 (except =
the cost to configure). You essentially set up a calendar for each of =
the resources (ie, stage, lights, sets) you want to track, and set up =
categories. People "invite" the resources to the events that they set =
up. You can define (if you want) a person (or persons) who accepts or =
denies the requests.
=20
So "Ralph" wants to "invite" the "Main Stage" to a recurring meeting =
every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 7-9pm, until April. "Ralph" =
placed the meetings under the categories "musical" and "community =
theater." "Susan" (who is responsible for the "Main Stage") sees that =
request, and either accepts or declines it. If accepted, anyone could =
see that the "Main Stage" is booked for those days.
=20
Don't know if that helps or not.

Subject: [NEohioPAL]FACILITIES SCHEDULING SOFTWARE - NEED ADVICE!

The Lorain County Community College Division of Arts and Humanities and =
the Stocker Arts Center are in the process of looking for a software =
program to create a shared and networked calendar of all scheduled =
performances/events between the two departments. We are looking for =
advice from anyone who is familiar with such programs. The program =
needs to be both PC and Mac friendly and be able to schedule multiple =
performance spaces and event types. We are looking for a program that =
allows the use of categories and sets to view and display all or a =
specific subset or type of event at any given time. For example- the =
ability to view all events in multiple performance spaces or only in one =
specific space; or the ability to view all types of events (dance, =
choir, theatre, orchestra) together or individually.

Any advice on which programs are out there and in active use would be =
greatly appreciated.

Much Thanks!

Jeremy Benjamin
