Actors' Summit Presents =20
Death of a Salesman=20
Actors=E2=80=99 Summit Theater announces the opening of Arthur Miller=E2=
=80=99s classic=20
modern tragedy =E2=80=93 Death of a Salesman. The production is directed by=
Alex Cikra.=20
The play will have a preview performance on February 15, and will play=20
through March 4 at Actors=E2=80=99 Summit Theater in downtown Hudson. The p=
lay is =20
performed Thursday, Friday, & Saturday at 8 PM and Sundays at 2PM.=20
The Play =20
Death of a Salesman is rightly regarded as one of the greatest modern plays=
=20
and perhaps the most complete contemporary tragedy. The story revolves arou=
nd=20
the last days of Willy Loman, a failing salesman, who cannot understand how=
=20
he failed to win the success and happiness that was promised by the American=
=20
Dream. Willy Loman=E2=80=99s personal flaws mirror those of America and the=20=
play=20
remains strikingly relevant. =20
The play, which premiered in 1949, became the center piece of a spirited=20
debate about the possibility of tragedy in the modern world. Arthur Miller=20=
in=20
his essay =E2=80=9CTragedy and the Common Man=E2=80=9D set forth his belief=
that tragedy is=20
possible. =20
The Cast=20

=20
the last thirty years as a freelance voice-over talent and actress. She=

.=20
He has performed in many theaters in the Cleveland area and is also=20

Deb Holthus portrays the woman with whom Willy has a clandestine=20
relationship. This is Deb=E2=80=99s fifth production at Actors=E2=80=99 Summ=

professional actor since 1994. He spent 8 years performing for over a quar=
ter=20
million children in Northeast Ohio on a myriad of health and safety issues=20=
with a=20
traveling educational theater program. His credits include performances a=

at Actor=E2=80=99s Summit. Marc originated the role of Talk Show Host in th=
