Hudson Players Production of Fun, Classic Musical - 'Once Upon A =
Mattress'=20

  Princess Winnifred Requests Your Presence

   (Queen Aggravain Demands It!)

  =20

Think you know the story of The Princess and the Pea? Well think =
again. It's much funnier and much more musical then you might think (it =
also has pretty cool sets and costumes).=20

  =20

This will be very apparent as The Hudson Players open their production =
of "Once Upon A Mattress" tonight Performance dates are February 2, 3, =
9, 10, 16, 17, 23 & 24 at 8 p.m. with a special 2 p.m. matinee =
performance being offered on February 18th. All performances take place =
at the Barlow Community Center in Hudson. Reservations can be made by =
calling 330-655-8522. Presale tickets are available at The Learned Owl =
Bookstore in Hudson. Tickets are also available at the door. After =
select performances (including opening night), audience members will =
also be invited to join and meet the cast as select restaurants around =
Hudson host after show events.

  =20

The fairy tale farce follows Prince Dauntless, and his hilariously =
unsuccessful search for a bride. This is because his mother forces each =
potential bride to be to pass a slew of impossible tests to prove their =
worthiness in order to be eligible to even think about marrying him. =
Meanwhile this forces the ladies in waiting to remain in waiting, much =
to their dismay. This well loved musical and zany adaptation of the =
princess and pea has proven to be a classic audience and family =
favorite. Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, both hilarious and =
raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar =
classic provides for some side splitting shenigans. Chances are, you'll =
never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.

  =20

The show is being directed by Rich Jagunic and the cast includes:

Gary Maher - Annie Steinheiser - Jenna Bates - Dani Kuntz - Claudia =
Lillibridge - Adrienne Dickson - Colleen McCaughey - Patrick Wulff - =
Ellen Antes - Jim Wolf - Stephanie Bowlin - John Mohnacky - Laura =
Mohnacky - Kirk Worcester - Sally Morris - Sarah Shriver - Steve Brofman =
- Marco Urbanic - Beth Judy - Doug Lillibridge - John Jesenko - Michelle =
Dolciato - Tim Steiner
