  Cleveland IndieClub FREE Monthly Networking Meeting - February 18, 2006


The Cleveland IndieClub meets every month, free of charge, for those who
have the passion for making movies using film or video (whether it is in
acting, directing, producing, writing, lighting or any other skill) and are
looking for others who have similar interests. 

Cleveland IndieClub is administrated by Johnny K. Wu with the collaboration
of Bill Johns and generally hosted each month by their members, which offers
each an opportunity to create a variety of interest and topic. Cleveland

CASSIDY THEATRE TO PRESENT =E2=80=9CCABARET=E2=80=9D

Parma Heights, Ohio =E2=80=93 The Cassidy Theatre proudly presents the clas=
sic musical CABARET, Friday, February 23rd through Sunday, March 11th.  Dir=
ected by Kevin Joseph Kelly and Musically Directed by Heidi Herczeg, the Ca=
ssidy production features choreography by Jennifer Glowe and costumes by Da=
vid Glowe.  Production times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm with Sunday m=
atinees at 3p.=20

Set in Berlin at the beginning of the Third Reich, the story follows the ro=
mance of an English cabaret performer and an American writer. Through the s=
ongs of the Cabaret's Emcee, the audience witnesses the political changes t=
aking place.

The Cassidy production features Kristin Netzband as =E2=80=9CSally Bowles=
=E2=80=9D, Zac Hudak as =E2=80=9CThe Emcee=E2=80=9D, William Valichnac as =
=E2=80=9CCliff=E2=80=9D, Candice Russell as =E2=80=9CFr=C3=A4ulein Schneide=
r=E2=80=9D, Gilgamesh Tagget as =E2=80=9CHeir Schultz=E2=80=9D, Pat Ciamacc=
o as =E2=80=9CErnest Ludwig=E2=80=9D and featuring Kim Bush as Fr=C3=A4ulei=
n Kost. Director Kevin Joseph Kelly anticipates an exceptional production s=
aying =E2=80=9CI am thrilled to bring CABARET back to the Cassidy stage aft=
er nearly 20 years. This cast does an exceptional job of bringing this musi=
cal to life by personally investing into every moment and creating a specta=
cular event for all of us to share.=E2=80=9D

Originally called "Welcome to Berlin", CABARET is based on John Van Druten'=
s play "I Am a Camera", which was in turn based on the novel Goodbye to Ber=
lin by Christopher Isherwood.  CABARET was originally produced and directed=
 on Broadway by the legendary Hal Prince with music by John Kander and Lyri=
cs by Fred Ebb.  The show originally ran for 1165 performances from 1966 to=
 1969 winning Tony Awards in 1967 for Best Musical, Best Composer and Lyric=
ist, Best Supporting Actor in a Musical, Best Featured Actress in a Musical=
, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Choreography, and Best Dire=
ction of a Musical.   CABARET features classic songs like It Couldn't Pleas=
e Me More, Willkommen, Cabaret, Don't Tell Mama and Two Ladies.  The musica=
l was adapted into the famous Academy Award winning 1972 movie directed by =
Bob Fosse starring Liza Minelli and Joel Grey.


The Cassidy Theatre is located in the Greenbrier Commons at 6200 Pearl Rd. =
