Lake Erie College Theatre Department to present "Marcus is Walking"

(PAINESVILLE, OHIO) - Emotions of love and friendship will be explored =
during the The Lake Erie College spring theatre production of "Marcus is =
Walking." Audiences can view the production at 7:30 p.m. April 13-14 and =
April 19-21 and at 2:30 p.m. April 22. The production will be held in =
the C.K. Rickel Theatre of the Fine Arts Building.=20

On the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the car, the play =
examines the emotional landscape we roam as we travel in our cars. =
Control, navigation, love and escape are some of the themes explored. A =
protective father shepherds his son through the neighborhood on =
Halloween; an actor on his way to perform Hamlet provokes a rear-end =
collision and confrontation with a Czech =E9migr=E9 cab driver and a =
devastated businessman strikes up an unlikely alliance with a homeless =
woman who sleeps in his car.=20

Nine Lake Erie students and one alumnus make up the cast, which =
includes, Nicki Clouse, Tricia Lilliman, Maggie Leach, Laken Piercy, =
Laura Osborne, Italy Picucci-Rich, Stephen Marra, Garrett Fausnaught, =
Tommy Smolko and Joe Fath.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and non-LEC students. =
Though the performance is free for Lake Erie College students, faculty =
and staff, reservations do need to be made. To make a reservation, call =
the box office at 440-375-7450 or e-mail faboxoffice at lec.edu. Free =
parking is located off Gillett Street near Philips Osborne School.

Founded in 1856, Lake Erie College is a dynamic and progressive =
institution of higher education. The College offers 26 undergraduate =
majors, including new programs in sports management, forensic psychology =
and therapeutic horsemanship, as well as master's degrees in business =
