UPCOMING EVENTS

GROUNDWORKS DANCE THEATER   
March 29 through April 1.  The program will feature
two world premieres, one by Keely Garfield and the
other by GroundWorks’ Artistic Director David
Shimotakahara and Musical Director Gustavo Aguilar.  A
previously performed piece, “Through The Lens,” will
round out the evening.  Presented at Cleveland Public
Theater, 6415 Detroit Avenue.  Tickets:  216.631.272. 


MOMIX (Dance Cleveland and Cuyahoga Community College)
March 9 @ 8 PM and March 10 @ 2 PM.  “Lunar Sea,” a
90-minutes, new evening-length spectacle.    The
dancers appear as glowing androgynous creates,
levitating above the ground and disappearing into
darkness.  Called “a tour de force of line and lift”
by the NY Times.   Presented at State Theatre.  For

‘RED LIGHT WINTER’ (The Bang and the Clatter)
February 23-March 25 (Thursdays through Sundays).  
Former college buddies take off to the Netherlands
ands find themselves thrown into a bizarre love
triangle with a beautiful prostitute.    All tickets
$15 with students and seniors on a “pay as you can”

‘STARS FELL ALL NIGHT’ (Cleveland Public Theatre)
March 2-March 17.  Written by local playwright Mike
Geither, the macabre play examines how a distrubed
mortician attempts to manage the death of his sister
by re enating her life with the corpses he embalms.

‘SHORN’ (Dobama Theatre)
February 22-March 4.  Local playwight and performer
Juliette Regnier examines the concept that, “nothing
that passes for normal behavior during war, is.”

‘DEATH OF A SALESMAN’ (Actors’ Summit)
February 15-March 4, special school matinees.  Arthur
Miller’s classic Pulitzer Prize winning play is a
stream of conscious that examines the reality and
fantasy of the American dream while asking the
question, “What is the best way to live?”  Owen Brown

THE CLEAN HOUSE (Cleveland Play House)
March 2-25.  In Sarah Ruhl’s play Mathilda doesn’t
want to clean.  She wants to tell jokes--in

THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE (Carousel Dinner Theatre)
February 28-April 28.  A twenties roaring musical
dance show.  Director/Choreographer Marc Robin returns
for a story of hope, transition and love. Millie was
the recipient of six 2002 Tony Awards, including Best
