The Poets’ & Writers’ League offers a number of classes for individuals interested in writing and publishing.  All classes are held at the PWLGC Literary Center, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland. FICTION WRITERS UNSCRIPTED – Leading fiction writers Grant Bailie (author of Cloud 8 and Mortarville), Erin O’Brien (Harvey & Eck) and, Steve Hayward (Buddha Stevens and Other Stories and The Secret Mitzvah of Lucio Burke) lead an informal, question and answer chat – to provide advice and inspiration for those seeking to write and publish fiction.  Thursday, March 8, 7-9 pm, Members $18/Non-members $22.   
  COMEDIC WRITING, facilitated by Fred Gloor.  The class will focus on short sketch writing.  Six Tuesday evenings beginning March 13, 7-9 pm, Members $110/Non-members $120
   
  WRITING SCREENPLAYS THAT SELL, with Les Roberts.  An overview of the qualities that contribute to writing and selling a successful screenplay.  Monday, March 19, 7-9 pm, Members $18/Non-members $22
   
  EDITORS & PUBLISHERS UNSCRIPTED.  Visiting Editors/Publishers -  David Gray (Gray & Company, Publishing), Larry Smith (Bottom Dog Press), Jill Riga (Whiskey Island), Jill Lange (Tributaries).  A  totally open, question and answer format – to provide advice, reality checks, and inspiration for those seeking to understand the world of publishing.   THE ART OF THE PERSONAL ESSAY, with Jan C. Snow.  Start with a memory, an anecdote, incident or journey and craft a finished short prose piece. Six Tuesday evenings beginning March 20, 7-9 pm, Members $110/Non-members $120   
  PUTTING YOURSELF ON THE PAGE, facilitated by Les Roberts.  How to write fiction honestly and truthfully, using your own life as a basis for your work without coming anywhere near writing an autobiography.  Six Monday evenings beginning March 26, 7-9 pm, Members $110/Non-members $120.
   
  PLAYWRITING:  Dialog Workshop, facilitated by Domenick Danza, Education Director, Cleveland Play House.  Class will focus on writing effective dialogue.
